iPhone 3GS 6.1.3 jail break
On 10 July 2013, I have successfully jailbroken my iPhone 3GS 32GB using redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3, I also downloaded and use iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw

I followed the video on YouTube on how to jailbreak iPhone 3GS with iOS 6.1.3, it quite simple only need to do couple tasks to enter "booting into DFU mode":

a. Make sure the phone is in OFF state
b. Press POWER button for 3 seconds
c. While pressing the POWER button then press HOME button for 10 seconds
d. Then release the POWER button only, keep pressing HOME button for around 10 seconds again.
e. iPhone will boot into DFU mode.

Download and install OpenSSH

The main reason I jailbreak my iPhone is to allow me to transfer files back and forth between my iPhone and any PC (home, office, friend house, etc.) just using FileZilla in SFTP mode because installing iTunes on all computer is bad.

To install OpenSSH, open Cydia and search "OpenSSH" then install it, after installed we can immediately use FileZilla in SFTP mode or use Putty using SSH mode to login into iPhone, the default SFTP login is root/alpine

To password the default root password we must use Putty to login as root to the iPhone then invoke command "passwd" to update to the new password.

iPhone booting into jailbreak state

After jailbroken, every time I reboot (power cycle) the device then I must connected to PC and use the same RedSn0w program
-> select "Extras"
-> "Select IPSW" ... find and select the file iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw (store in my local drive)
-> on popup dialog to ask whether iPhone 3GS is using NEW bootrom or OLD bootrom, I select "Yes" (new bootrom)

Then in the main "Extras" screen, just select "Just boot" -> to boot the iPhone 3GS in "jailbroken" state so Cydia can be opened normally (without crashing and closing)

If everything goes properly then the famous pineapple fruit logo will be shown instead of apple fruit.
